39 weeks 5 days.
I’m so thankful to be here! Nugget is healthy and we’ve come this far and we are SO CLOSE to getting to meet him!
But honestly, how long can I walk around almost fully effaced and 3cm dialated?! HOW LONG?!
Oh gosh, I promised never to talk actual numbers on here, didn’t I?
Well, desperate times, folks. Desperate times.
I’m off to distract my non-contracting self over a fabulous (spicy?) lunch with a been-there-done-that mama friend and a good brisk labor-inducing walk around the Mall of America.
Happy 2nd day of retirement!

Not much longer dear. Praying for you!
Considering how far along you are, not much longer! ;)
I was 3 cm dilated for almost 3 weeks with my son, and for 2 weeks with my daughter. I actually started dilating at 28 weeks with both…fun times!
Good luck!
Oh good luck! I hope the walk around the mall helps! ;)
Happy Tuesday!
Unfortunately, our bodies think dilation is a fun little game to play while waiting for the baby. “Hmmm. Maybe we’ll move a little now, just to see how excited she gets. And then we’ll do nothing for a really long time.”
But don’t worry about sharing those numbers. It’s what mothers DO. Besides, centimeters are nothing compared to “my mucus plug fell out today.” Now that’s over-sharing.

Cross my heart and hope to die. I just couldn’t fit everything we wanted to say and thought, well hey, if they really care to know more, they could definitely find it on our blog (something about dilation and effacement?). [...]
