how to capture autumn

Ingredients:

  • Sunny Fall afternoon, preheated to 63°
  • Seasonally colored ring sling
  • Cutest baby known to man

Step 1: While sporting a poofy vest, strap on OBaby. Attempt to take a self-portrait before leaving on a walk. Fail, as usual.

Step 2: After leaving the house, turn and capture your front door in it’s autumn attire. Notice for the first time how dirty the bottom of your screen door is.

Step 3: Set out for a walk on an incredibly gorgeous day.

Step 4: Kiss OBaby on the head (not pictured).

Step 5: Turn the corner and see an absolutely gorgeous red bush. ::capture::

Step 6: Keep walking and find yourself under a vibrantly orange tree. ::capture::

Step 7: Continue on, enjoying the huge, old trees in your old neighborhood. Especially this great yellow one. ::capture::

Step 8: See a leaf fall from the tree near by. Decide to try to capture one mid-air. Stay there until you do. Dude, check it.

Step 9: Round the block for home, capturing this beautiful tree in front of the brick tudor at the end of the block.

Step 10: Return home, finding copious amounts of baby drool on the sling where OBaby’s chin had been resting (see step 1). ::capture::
