changing sheets (and other excitement)

Some days I am caught up in “O My Neediness, Child! If I am always holding you, how am I ever going to get anything done?!”

But other days, all that matters is that the one thing I am able to get done (or partially done) was so much more enjoyable because of him.

OBaby: Making everyday tasks more complicated fun since 2009.

I am home today with a sick baby–usually I work. Just as I was starting to wonder if i would make it through the whole day carrying the little one you blog gave me the perspective I needed. Thank you.

O Ann, you are so welcome! I am *trying* to have this perspective more often. Putting it on here as a reminder to myself, too!

My kids are 4 and 2 and I STILL can’t get anything done with them around. LOL But having them around makes trying to get things done more enjoyable!

first time reader. i found your blog yesterday and read through you back posts. Love your writing and your son is darling! you’ve got a new reader!

  12. I find it helps to accept that you only get to do one thing every day. And then one that one thing is accomplished, you can pat yourself on the back. If you still have time to do a second thing that’s a bonus…

Doesn’t it make everyting fun?? And hey, you’ve got an excellent excuse why dinner was late, right?

  14. 18.Sarah says:

He is getting so BIG! Where is the time going??

Your son is so stinkin’ cute. I wouldn’t get anything done, either. :D

  16. [...] For the last nine months I have been staying home taking care of OBaby. To be fair, three of those days he was inutero so I was doing jumping jacks and sprinting around the largest mall in America (which totally did the trick) and one of them 31 of those hours I was working on him not being inutero anymore if you know what I mean. Through these nine months I have learned how to change a baby on the floor of a Starbucks bathroom, how to soothe a hysterical baby while simultaneously checking out at the grocery store, how to load a dishwasher one handed, and how to entertain an infant while changing the sheets.
