It’s OBaby’s first birthday, but you are the ones getting the presents! How great is that?
Around here we are doing our best to minimize waste, buying things with less packaging, using more cloths than paper towels to clean up, and frankly, eating the kind of food that doesn’t come wrapped in plastic (amen?) but there will always be left overs.
The food we feed OBaby’s when we’re traveling comes in pouches. Yes for heaven’s sake we eat chips from time to time. And cereal. But TerraCycle came up with innovative and adorable ways to reuse what ought to be waste. I absolutely love this idea.
TerraCycle diverts packaging waste from landfills and helps raise consumer awareness about reducing, reusing and recycling. By encouraging people to rethink ‘what is waste,’ TerraCycle is making it simple for consumers to have a positive impact on the environment. YOU can actually be on the recycling end of the equation by sending them your used packaging, including empty baby food pouches to be upcycled into baby-related items such as diaper wallets, bibs, backpacks and totes. Neat, huh? Participation is free and all shipping costs are paid.

Our school is launching this program in the Fall. I’m very excited, I hate seeing all those drink pouches ending up in these landfills.
you guys have the greatest ideas of recycling. i am hoping i can convince our school to take part of different programs with teracycle this year. keep fingers crossed.
These are so festive…I LOVE Terracycle, got our school to participate last year…even from our little school, we earned over $80 JUST from Capri Sun pouches and chip bags (joined that brigade late in the year). The kids do a great job participating. Yay, Terracycle! (and happy birthday to you all! : ) ).
I would love to give these speakers away as a prize I’m having at our school’s open house this September! I have a bin filled with caps being donated to AVEDA and the student who guesses how many are in the bin will win the speakers! We signed up for just about all the Terracycle brigades for next year so I want to get folks learning about the products they make! Love your site!

I love these speakers. i bought these for my daughter & my niece and they are so awsome. i then went and checked out the company and we are now looking at getting their schools invovled in collecting. I would to have my own set.
