Christmas from a parent’s eyes

Hi friends. I hope you and your families had a wonderful Christmas celebration today. I don’t have many words right now, but a thought just occurred to me that I wanted to share with you.

Watching OBaby this morning with all of the celebration, excitement, and gifts was the best part of my day. The joy on his face pierced right through my heart and made it overflow. I loved giving him the experience of Christmas.

Which made me think.

How much more did God love giving us the Gift that first Christmas morning? Did He watch His children’s faces and overflow with joy? Does He see that joy on my face even now? I hope so, because what a wonderful thing it is to bless your children and be blessed in return.

I am so, so thankful for today.

  1. After nearly eight years, I still cannot sleep the night before Christmas…just the thought of the joy that the next day will bring keeps me up. I’m so glad to hear you had a wonderful day with your family, friend. Love to you and yours.

Wow, that was great, Allison. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve noticed that on Christmas, nothing brings me more joy than giving a present that is so meaningful to the person. Gifts are a perk to Christmas, but thanks for bringing the true meaning of Christmas into a post.
    Merry Day after Christmas!

I think this may be the most beautiful thought I’ve read on Christmas this season. I don’t recall pondering Christmas from that perspective before. Thank you!

I told my husband on Christmas that I thought it was just as much fun, if not better, watching jack’s joy at Christmas as it was when we were kids. I loved it.

What a beautiful reminder of God’s love! On the opposite end of the joy God must’ve felt, just how painful it must’ve been for God to see those who did not accept his gift. I’m so very thankful for God and all He has done for us!
