O, hai there. {with a giveaway}

Uhm, hi guys. Remember me?

A little over a week ago I was all “Friends. Why does no one love the Friendly Fridays? Boo hoo and woe is me.” and then the following Friday…

nothing.

No Friendly Friday post. Heck, not even a post all week. Not because y’all didn’t totally knock my socks off with the conversations that the last FF post started, but because I didn’t actually get to it. (‘It’ being my act of kindness.)

I’ll take my piece of humble pie to go, thanks.

I had great intentions, I really did. I was running a little behind because I had some wonderful playdates last week and I didn’t get to working on my act of kindness until Friday itself. I baked chocolate chip cookies and then made them into cream-filled cookie sandwiches.

Right?

The recipe for the cream filling is from here. You’re welcome.

I was making them with a neighbor in mind. One who recently went through the kind of situation where you really aren’t sure what to say, how to support her through it. The cookies cooled, I filled them, ate a dozen few, and even packaged them in one of the cute boxes I have on hand for just such an occasion…

…which is currently sitting on my diningroom table, 4 days later, awaiting the short walk over to her house to be given.

Sigh.

This week, friends. This week I will do better. Pinkie swearsies.

So, uhm, penance? Can I offer something in exchange for the lack of Friendly Friday post (and act)?

A $30 shop credit to The Pleated Poppy, anyone?

(K, good. Glad we could strike a deal.)

Home goods, scarves, hair accessories, check book covers, zipped pouches…

I’m sure you’ll find something agreeable.

I am thrilled to announce that O My Family is giving away a $30 shop credit to The Pleated Poppy to one friend or reader (who is a friend I just haven’t met yet)!

    Just discovered your site as a link from These Prices, who referenced you as someone who did Baby-Led Weaning. I’m due with my first in February, so solids are a ways off still, but I’m planning to do the Baby Led thing for sure, so I like reading about it! Anyhoo, thanks!! Looks like a really cute story, I’d love an excuse to spend a few dollars on myself, although I must admit I love buying baby things :-)
