The birds are chirping. The cool spring sun is shining. The tree branches are budding.
The jackhammer is pounding?
Ah yes, hand in hand with the warmer weather comes the ability to tackle outdoor house projects. Before going back to work on Monday, DanO decided he wanted to do one more hail Mary project. So far while being home he’s sanded, painted, and floored our basement bathroom, installed a toilet in said bathroom, replaced our dishwasher, and helped me start a garden in the backyard. But I guess that wasn’t enough because he didn’t pick any ‘ol project to wrap up his time at home.
He picked a jackhammer borrowing, 20 cubic yard dumpster renting, concrete truck hiring, back breaking project: replacing our quickly disintegrating, 75 year old front steps and walkway.
Yes, that is the father of my baby using a jackhammer.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go take a cold shower.
It’s amazing what handling a little bit of machinery can do…
ow ow DanO. Nothing cuter than a man and his machine. LOL! (Can I borrow your husband for a day so he can show mine how to tackle home projects? I swear, I’ll return him. lol)
Wow, this is inspiring! Maybe it will make my husband want to finish our kitchen island…
wow, Dan is ridiculously talented! can i rent him?
way to go DanO! inspire all the men of mn to get moving on those projects!!
Cold shower indeed! However, if it were my husband out there I’d have 911 on pre-dial and ready to send the call… you know, clumsiness and all.
The Lord has Blessed you with such a wonderful husband :)
Whew, what a project! Way to go, DanO!
Wow! I bet that was fun. My husband just got jealous looking at that jack hammer. But, when it comes to doing to work, he disappears. What a blessing to have him home to tackle all those projects!
Haha there’s nothing sexier than a man actually doing something helpful!
Got to love a man and his power tools, especially when he knows how to use them. =>
You picked a winner, that’s for sure. And the best part is that he can pass on the skills to BabyO, for the melting of the ladies in the future. :)
He is a keeper for sure!
