Gifts for Life gift guide: Paper Culture

Let’s get this party started, shall we? First off, I should tell you that Heather and I are both pregnant, moms of toddlers, and mostly if not entirely crazy for deciding to host a joint (and EPIC) holiday gift guide amidst our collective morning sickness. Did you hear that? JOINT GIFT GUIDE OF EPIC-NESS, complete with GIVEAWAYS.

Secondly, go here and read this post. It is a beautiful explanation by Heather of the cause behind all the EPIC-ness that is about to go down on our two blogs. Really, go learn about it.

What kind of EPIC holiday gift guide, you ask?

One that is not just about stuff. It’s not. Stuff is so… stuffy. I feel like we get pulled in so many directions this time of year by commercials and O My Doorbusters, that’s a cheap vacuum! and consumerism and, say it with me: greed. We get told that it’s all about me and also that it’s all about where I can get the most with my dollar.

But what if, just what if, it’s about where I can do the most with my dollar?

Enter: Gifts for Life

This holiday season, I want to give. I mean really actually truly give. Gifts that mean something. Gifts that honor someone. Gifts that make a difference. That’s what the Gifts for Life gift guide is all about. Join me?

We are going to kick this thing off right, with my friends, Paper Culture. The first thing I want you to know about Paper Culture is that they are not your grandma’s stationary company. Unless your grandma was way, WAY before her time. All of their paper is 100% post consumer recycled, generated by wind power, and elemental chlorine free. Even all of their envelopes and packaging are made from recycled paper. That is what I call doing more with a dollar.

You can read all about how they make a difference with their paper products here.

{O My Fresh Baby, this announcement kind of makes me want to have one. O, wait.}

They also have lovely personalized stationary and fantastically designed holiday cards. You can follow Paper Culture’s blog here and their tweets here.

Another great way Paper Culture makes a difference is that they plant a tree in honor of their customer every time an order is placed with them! Kinda an awesome, above and beyond business practice, don’t you think? I love that this company makes products for a purpose.

I am thrilled to announce that O My Family is giving away, GET THIS, five (5!!) different $25 gift cards to Paper Culture as a way to help you give with a purpose! Five winners! 5!!

(As in one more than 4. As in A LOT. As in AWESOME.)

Leaving a comment on this post is all you have to do to enter!

Because our goal with this Gifts for Life gift guide is to support the wonderful cause of Bead for Life, we have made it possible for you to increase your entries (and odds of winning!) by doing a couple of things:

1) Buy jewelry at the Bead for Life store and earn ONE ADDITIONAL COMMENT for every $10 spent (or donated) on ONE GIVEAWAY (not one additional entry on each giveaway or more than one).

2) Register to host a Bead for Life Bead Party and earn you FIVE (5) ADDITIONAL COMMENT entries in a Gifts for Life giveaway.

Have a question about extra entries? Check out the full details here.

(Remember to leave a separate comment for each option and don’t forget to head over to The Extraordinary Ordinary for more chances to win!)

This giveaway closes at 10:00pm CST Sunday December 5th. The winner will be announced the following day.

Good luck!

Disclosure: Paper Culture has provided the spoils of this giveaway today, as well as a shop credit for my own use. While Paper Culture has been so wildly generous and is paying the monetary costs of this giveaway, money has not bought my opinions. Those are priceless.

This giveaway is part of the Gifts for Life holiday gift guide, a celebration co-hosted by Heather of The Exrtaordinary Ordinary and Allison of O My Family. You can see all of the wonderful Gifts for Life giveaways hosted by Heather here and by Allison here.

O, and don’t forget to come back throughout the day and throughout the week for more Gifts for Life giveaways. There’s O so much more celebrating yet to come!

Allison- This is an awesome idea!! Way to go on encouraging meaningful gifts. We are giving school uniforms to children in Haiti in honor of our grandparents this year. So far the set that has already received theirs thought it was a wonderful idea, hopefully the rest think the same!
