humor me for a second, m’kay?

Let’s pretend that we didn’t get 6 some inches of snowfall all in one day last weekend. Let’s pretend that it’s still just like last week where highs were in the upper 60s, even flirting with the 70s on Monday. Let’s pretend the temperature isn’t calling for my warmest wool pea-coat (that I’m already too pregnant to button).

Because then maybe, just maybe, it wouldn’t look as ridiculous (and out of season) for me to post adorable pictures of my boys raking the leaves in our yard (which we can no longer see under a thick blanket of white). And not posting these pictures is just not an option.

{O, hello handsome. I want to have three gazillion more of your babies. Deal?}

O My Joy, that last picture. I dare you to look at it and not smile. Dare you.

And now that I have stuffed you plum full of photographic toddler yummies,  I have one more little image I’m going to post here. If you’d like, you are more than welcome to click through to it. It happens to be an award for which I have made it to the final round. I am honored to be in this group, but I am also fully aware of how trivial rankings and polls are in the grand scheme of things. If you’d like to vote I would be very grateful, but please know that you’ve done more than I could ever thank you for just by being here and sharing life with me.

And dag nabbit, I mean that.

    I actually found your blog today via the Mommy Blog Awards. Good luck!

    I am also pretending the snow is not here. The grass is still green under all that white. That’s gotta mean something, right? Please?

    Oh, Allison…
    That last picture?
    I died!
    Could that little one be any happier? Could he have better parents? I think not. :)

    This is why living in Minnesota is so great — because there are no greater toys for kids than leaves in the fall and snow in the winter! And when the kids get sick of them, they go away…..and when they all really need a new toy, they come back again in abundance!

    Although I don’t think we were quite done playing with the leaves yet, this year……

        Hi Jessy! Thank you for clicking. The voting poll is actually a little bit down on the page. You’re right though, I did win my category which is how I made it to this final round. Thanks again!

    I am so bummed we don’t have leaves. Babies in leaves always make me smile. Thanks for letting me live vicariously through you.
