Gifts for Life: Bird E Studios

This holiday season, I want to give. I mean really actually truly give. Gifts that mean something. Gifts that honor someone. Gifts that make a difference. Join me?

I don’t remember exactly how or when Erika of Bird E Studios walked into my life, but I remember that it was an online connection made in heaven. She blessed our poor, now-neglected dog with a beautiful new collar and leash set – handmade by her! – out of the kindness of her own heart.

Shortly after that, she began making precious baby items: burp rags, bibs, binkie clips and diaper clutches. (See? I told you it was a connection made in heaven. Will you look at those fabrics?!)

You can follow Erika’s blog here and her tweets here.

And can I share with you something that Bird E Studios just announced on her blog this week? It is beautiful. “Lately I’ve been thinking about what I could do with my shop, to really give it meaning. To make a difference, to do good things, other than just providing stuff. While the stuff is lovely, I wanted Bird E to be a part of something bigger; to do something to help others.

And so, {Blankets for HOPE} was born.”

She goes on to talk about the fleece blanket she gave her little cousin Cullen to have while in the hospital battling cancer. Erika decided that more children should have that comfort as they spend time away from home due to illnesses.

15% of all Bird E Studios sales will now go towards supplies for Blankets for HOPE. In addition, Erika has personally committed to donating 5 blankets per month to a local Children’s Hospital or Pediatric wing of a local hospital.

The plan was to launch Blankets for HOPE in honor of her cousin Cullen, but it hurts my heart to tell you that the campaign is now in his memory.

When you make a purchase from Bird E Studios, not only do you support handmade products and make a direct impact on an artist, but you also help comfort pediatric hospital patients. That is good stuff.

The Bird E Studios shop holds a huge variety of products for all sorts of people on your gift list, andI am thrilled to announce that O My Family is giving away a $40 shop credit to Bird E Studios as a way to help you give with a purpose!

Leaving a comment on this post is all you have to do to enter!

Good luck!

Disclosure: Bird E Studios has provided the spoils of this giveaway today, as well as a dog collar and leash set in the past. While Bird E Studios is paying the monetary costs of this giveaway, money cannot buy my opinions. Those are priceless.
