It was 50° a couple of times last week. Then this morning I woke up to a good 2 inches of snow on top of at least an inch of hail/frozen rain to scrape off of my windshield.

“uff da.” my little converted Minnesotan heart said.

“WAIT! Uff da!”

You guys! A giveaway! I mentioned in Monday, but, well. What day is it? Where am I? Did you know we passed 3 inspections on the upstairs in 3 days this week? We did. But now it’s Wednesday and Uff Da! I owe you guys an adorable giveaway. A worth-the-wait giveaway.

A look-at-how-cute-I-am-wearing-an-uff-da-headband giveaway. No, really. Look.

Do you see that poppied goodness in my hair? It’s an Uff Da Designs original. Made by my friend Emily out in the Pacific Northwest, my homeland, the Uff Da shop is plum full of whimsy and happy. She makes headbands, hair accessories, bibs, magic wands, and even custom kiddo felt portraits.

O, my heart!

Can I just tell you guys that my perfect poppy headband is one of those accessories that, when added to a pair of jeans and a sweater, makes me feel like my protruding belly and I actually look cute? Even with snow boots on my feet. Again.

Take it from this SAHM, it’s a ‘throw-it-on’ outfit completer.

See?

Totally makes me feel cute enough to be seen in a coffee shop, sipping chai and blogging.

If you are pickier than I am, you should know that all of her handmade items are customizable. Elastic headband or hard frame headbands, a bazillion color choices, new custom designs… Uff Da pretty much does it all.

Ok, cute, yes. Whimsical and creative, obviously. But my girl Emily, she does handmade right. She uses upcycled and repurposed materials whenever possible (the polka-dot fabric on my poppy headband is vintage! You guys! I own something vintage!), she ends up with minimal fabric scraps, and (get this!) the felt she uses is VEGAN and made from 100% post-consumer materials!

Yay Emily! Yay Uff Da! Yay environment!
