Anyone else enjoying the symbolism of the silence around here for the last 3 days, which came swiftly on the tails of a post about our ridiculous house projects?
Yea, that.
But I can’t really blame it all on the porch demolition, though. The weather has been so very, very perfect. We have honestly been outside more than inside during our waking hours this week. Goodness, friends and readers (who are friends I just haven’t met yet), this sunny, warm weather makes me feel invincible. I can go to parks with my boys! I can plan meals! I can do runs around the lake! I can catch up on laundry! I can even help throw a Friday BBQ at DanO’s office this afternoon!
Is this how life always is in Hawaii (wonders the Minnesotan)?
My second born met grass this week, not too unlike when my first born did. It was love at first dirty knees.
Thank you Lord, for Spring.
Amen! (Said the other Minnesotan.) (Who lived in San Diego for almost 10 years and YES, this is exactly what it’s like. But it does get boring at some point. Can’t believe I’m saying that, but it’s true. After eight years of sunshine and 75, I was ready for a thunderstorm and a crisp fall day and a gentle snowfall.) (But RIGHT NOW?! LOVING WHAT WE HAVE OUTSIDE!)
It is like that in Hawaii! Hawaii is pretty much the perfect place for kids because the weather is just always warm & perfect and unlike Canadian weather which is usually cold and snowing…..
Glad you are having some fantastic weather! Feel free to send some of that North!
Oh how I can relate! My family and I live in more northern Ontario where there are still snowdrifts. We are currently visiting family in southern Ontario and we are in spring heaven!!! You should have seen my freak out yesterday when I saw a robin on the lawn…holy smokes! Lol. My little guy is loving it :)
Ha you crack me up! Life has been much of the same here in Kentucky this week. Dirty knees and all :-)
i am so torn between blogging and being outside at this time of year…but being outside always wins!
I live in the Twin Cities area as well and feel the same way about this weather! I told my husband and some friends this weekend, “I feel like a new person!” I LOVE this weather! And then I wondered the same thing about other states that commonly have warm weather…..do they feel like this much of the time?
