slow and steady

Friday April 20, 2012: 160lbs – 27lbs lost!

I’ve lost my routine. Maybe it has something to do with the current state of my kitchen (you think?) and the amount of time DanO and I spend dedicated to this remodel. I have only worked out 3 times week these last two weeks. (Whoops.)

It’s not just a time and exercise thing, either. Many meals for us lately are microwaved. I’ll admit we’re eating a lot of processed food that I can throw on the table (3 cheers for chicken nuggets!). And I’m eating it too.

The good news (REALLY good news) is that even though my life is absolute chaos, when I put in some effort and eat most of my Medifast meals, I still lose weight. Slowly? Yes. Could be doing better? Yes. But undoing my progress? Nope! Making more progress (slowly)? YES!

My Journey to Health:

April 20: 160lbs

April 6, 2012: 161lbs

March 31, 2012: 163lbs

February 29, 2012: 166lbs

January 30, 2012: 174lbs

December 30, 2011, 187 lbs

27 lbs lost!

How am I losing that weight, you ask? Medifast!! If you use the coupon code, OFAMILY56, and sign up for Medifast Advantage, when you order $250+, you’ll receive 56 free Medifast Meals and free shipping! (More details at the bottom of this post.)

Disclosure: I receive free product in order to evaluate and comment on my experiences on the Medifast Nursing Mothers Program. I will only ever tell you how I actually feel about this experience and the Medifast products. Pinky swearsies. I am supposed to tell you that the Medifast Program is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or illness and that any medical improvements noted while on the program are related to weight loss in general, and not to Medifast products or programs. K, you got that? Good. There will be a quiz later.

Good work, Momma! You’re reminding the rest of us not to give up! If you can do it with a kitchen reno and 2 kiddos, I have no excuse to be lazy. Glad you’re still finding “you” time in all the chaos. :)

Go you for keeping a healthy and balanced perspective–sometimes life (and kitchens mid-renovation!) just don’t allow us to throw ourselves into weight loss efforts as much as we would like. Awesome you are still moving in the right direction and I think you are doing great!

I think that’s a sign that you are really committed to this weight loss journey. That even during the curve-balls of renovating and sick babies, you are still able to see progress! Keep up the great work!!

It sounds like you’re doing really well for having a kitchen that’s in pieces! I would have a really hard time not living on fast food and take out :) Woo hoo for 27 lbs down!! I love reading your updates on your weight loss journey!
