O man, that feels good to look at.
I refuse to give up. Slowly but surely, I am losing weight. A pound a week with Medifast nursing mothers’ plan, I carry on. Every ding dang day.
I run less lately, for a few reasons. One is that it is friggin’ hot out, and even if I did hit the road at 8am, it only gets down to 80 most mornings. Another reason is that I am no longer training for a half marathon in September. Before I had even told you guys about it (
surprise! just kidding!), something else came up that meant that I needed to clear my plate of all peripherals. Exercise is not a peripheral, but strenuous training is. I’m back down to usual maintenance runs. This probably doesn’t help my pace of weight loss.
But the greatest thing happened last week. I received a shipment of Medifast‘s products just being released. O, mama. It’s funny how, after almost 7 months of Medifast, I totally needed this. A little change, mixing it up, keeping it exciting. And the new products? Well some of them are right up my cravings alley.
Mixed Berry and Cinnamon & Brown Sugar Cereal Crunch:
I am usually a bars and drinks kind of girl, but they totally had me at “cereal“. A little insight into the O home: DanO is a serial cereal eater. It’s a go-to snack or meal for him any time of day and if I’m being honest, yea, I have missed (guilt-free) cereal since being on plan with Medifast. I have now had both of the cereal crunch flavors – mixed berry and cinnamon & brown sugar – and I love them. And with a half a cup of Diamond Breeze Unsweetened Original or Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk, I am having on plan cereal!
Mocha Ready-to-Drink Shake:
I don’t even need to tell you the awesome. Again, I struggled with (and usually gave in to) off-plan coffee drinks. I would drink creamer in my coffee alongside my Medifast breakfast (::shakes finger::). But you guys! My sweet creamy coffee! If my plan had an achilles heel, it was this. Take my cookies, take my nutrient-less carbs, but, O sweet mercy, don’t take my coffee! Let’s be clear. Medifast mocha shake is not an iced SBux latte, but that’d be asking a little much from something that is actually good for me. It is definitely good, hits that (very important) creamy coffee spot in my heart and it’s waiting for me chilled and ready in my fridge every morning. True love.
These new treats from Medifast may just be the excitement and push I need to drop these last dozen pounds.
